In doing this, we equip women with the skills and tools they need to thrive with spiritual clarity, joyful sobriety, and purpose. Our Story

Founded on Compassion, Rooted in Christ, Transforming Lives.

After volunteering in a women's prison, Pastor Steve Covington knew he wanted to do more to help people in society who had been marginalized by their past choices and stigmas. With his wife Janet by his side, he founded Through The Gate in 2014. Over the years, the home has served as a place where women could find refuge and healing while they sought to rebuild their lives on the foundation of Christ.
